Scotland on Demand

Scotland On Demand is a fantastic new talent development opportunity for emerging minority ethnic writers and creative producers to create a 10-minute scripted pilot for digital broadcast, supported by Sky Drama and Creative Scotland and BAFTA Scotland.

In 2017, Scotland on Demand supported three diverse, Scottish based writer and creative producer teams to develop 10-minute shooting scripts that were showcased at a rehearsed table read in September 2017 to an audience of industry, broadcasters and commissioners. Each team also received a mentor, attended a series of Masterclasses and were supported in the development of further episodes.

The Scotland On Demand 2017 Teams were:

Maryam Hamidi – writer

Rhea Lewis – producer

Paddy Higson – mentor

Lubna Kerr – writer

Linda Campbell – producer

Adrian Meade – mentor

Adura Onashile – writer

Dave Gillies – producer

Martin McCardie – mentor

We are currently securing funding and broadcast partners for Scotland on Demand 2019 and aim to open applications later this year.
